Robert James Richie [born January 17th 1971 in Romeo, Michigan], known by his stage name Kid Rock, is an American musician and actor. He has sold over 23 million albums since the release of his debut album 'Grits Sandwiches For Breakfast' in 1990.





'All Summer Long' is a song by Kid Rock released as the third single from his 9th studio album Rock N Roll Jesus. This song samples Warren Zevon's 'Werewolves of London' and Lynyrd Skynyrd's 'Sweet Home Alabama', featuring the latters Billy Powell on piano. The mash up was created by Mike E. Clark most noted for his work with the Insane Clown Posse. The song itself and the video is about a teenage romance at a summer camp in 1989. Many compare its theme to Bob Seger's 'Night Moves'. The song was the official theme song for WWE's Backlash 2008. Kid Rock is in the works with Major League Baseball for a campaign using the song. He and Lynyrd Skynrd will perform the song on Good Morning America August 22,2008. Due to the song being unavailable on iTunes USA, the track has failed to make a significant impact on the Billboard Hot 100. Elsewhere, where the track is available on iTunes, it has achieved success on the charts. The single has reached No.3 in the United Kingdom.
